The inaugural Macau GT Cup in 2008 attracted many top race drivers, and was a total success of fantastic racing.  This year, the Macau GP Committee has again invited 36 race drivers to return for this event.  Amongst them are 28 drivers which are closely associated with Supercar Club Hong Kong, which proves our success makes us become the strongest and most professional GT race series organizer in this Asia region.

For this year, there will be many drivers competing in various top GT race cars.  They include Ferrari GT3, Porsche GT3 Cup, Chevrolet Corvette, Lamborghini Gallardo GT3, and Ginetta G50.  Last year’s champion and two times Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champion Darryl O’young will be competing for Team LKM in a brand new Porsche 997 GT3 Cup S.  The new Porsche car will have 450 bhp, and this will give him an advantage to defend his crown.

Darryl’s main competition will come from British driver Danny Watts with a 2008 Porsche GT3 Cup, Japanese driver Keita Sawa in a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3, and 2007 Asia Super Car Challenge champion Luis Monzon from Spain in another Gallardo GT3. 

Within Asia, the newly crowned GT3 Asia Challenge champion Tunku Hammam will be driving a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup S, whilst the runners up partners from Team Modena Francis Tjia and Wayne Shen will be competing in their Ferrari 430 GT3.  Also driving Ferraris are well known HK touring car drivers Paul Poon and Samson Fung.  There will also be Team Machine drivers Eddie Yau and Sam Yau in their Gallardo GT3 race cars.

A newcomer to the Macau GT Cup will be the famous Malaysian driver Alex Yoong.  Alex has competed in F1, A1GP, and F3 in Macau, and his Team Axle Motorsport will prepare for him the Bufori BMS R1.  With his previous experience in Macau, we would also expect Alex to do well in this event.

In total, drivers from a total of 13 nationalities will be competing in this fantastic 10 lap race event on Sunday morning.  Who will be the first driver to lead the pack down the fast Mandarin Oriental Bend, into the treacherous Lisboa Corner, up the San Francisco Hill and come out top on the famous Macau Guia Circuit ?  All eyes focus on November 22nd in Macau.  You can watch the race live on Macau’s TdM, HK’s TVB, and also recorded broadcast on Asia’s StarSports and Now TV.

2009之戰，各地好手將帶來眾多不同款式的GT跑車爭奪冠軍寶座。當中包括Ferrari法拉利GT3、Porsche 保時捷GT3 Cup、Chevrolet雪佛蘭Corvette歌屈GT3、Lamborghini 林寶堅尼 GT3及Ginetta。
首屆冠軍得主兼兩屆亞洲保時捷卡雷拉Carrara盃冠軍歐陽若曦，將駕駛LKM Racing車隊的保時捷09年全新997 GT3 Cups爭取衛冕。新車馬力高達450匹，正是人強馬壯，獎盃可謂已是囊中之物，只看命運之神的安排!另外，上屆亞軍得主英國好手屈斯 (Danny Watts)將繼續使用08年版997 GT3 重臨澳門競逐錦標，將代表Team Road and Track車隊出戰。日本選手方面，上屆季軍得主澤圭太將駕駛林寶堅尼 Gallardo GT3代表SPS Racing Team上陣。由於賽事的成功以及澳門跑道的特殊魅力， 大會特別邀請得2007年度Supercar Asia( ASCC )總冠軍西班牙車手 Luis Monzon參與角逐，戰馬為Gallardo GT3實力不容忽視。
2009年新出爐的GT3 Asia年度總冠軍，來自馬來西亞的Tunku Hammam將挾其997 GT3 Cups參加賽事。而年度亞軍及季軍 Team Modena Francis Tjia 、Wayne Shen則以一對法拉利Ferrari F430 GT3法拉利出戰。另外，HKTC冠軍車手潘德俊Paul Poon及溤文偉Samson Fung Pasa Racing亦以法拉利Ferrari 430 GT3參賽。除成雙成對的法拉利外，Team Machine車隊亦有一對林寶堅尼Gallardo GT3，由好手Eddie Yau游紹賢及Sam Yau 游紹明兄弟駕駛，駿馬蠻牛之戰一觸即發!

參賽名單除了熟悉的名字外，還有不少新面孔前來挑戰。其中的好手，包括前一級方程式車手熊龍Alex Yoong，他將伙拍Axle Motorsport車隊以Bufori BMS R1跑車參賽。這位馬來西亞車手曾三度角逐澳門格蘭披治三級方程式大賽，亦曾參戰東望洋大賽，對澳門賽道相當熟悉。隨後，他更成功躋身最高水平的一級方程式大賽、二十四小時勒芒大賽及A1GP等，參戰經驗非常豐富。

賽事吸引來自十三個國家及地區的車手參與，這場十圈大戰將於11月22日 (星期日)舉行。
去年激烈競爭的場面，今年勢必變本加厲，賽車迷定必在東望洋賽道上欣賞更多精彩場面。
究竟，那位車手能順利帶領群車飛入東方灣，「煞」入葡京再衝上加斯欄……11月22日澳門見!
