Rules and Regulations “GT3 Asia Challenge” 2009

Supercar Club Hong Kong (SCCHK 香港超級跑車會) and Motorsport Asia Limited ( MAL ) have reached a mutual agreement whereby SCCHK will assign the new race series " GT3 Asia Challenge" to ( MAL ) which will be exclusively responsible for the organisation, management and operation of the series. We believe that as MAL is the leading and most professional autosports promoter in the region, this will bring top class GT racing to the mass population in China and Asia.

Paul Yao ( SCCHK ) will be the Series Director, and his official team will be responsible for the communications with all race teams, whilst SCCHK will have more time to provide service to members focus on all track days , social events, and joint marketing efforts.

“The GT 3 Asia Challenge ” 2009 will be decided over “12 rounds”.
Provisional Race Dates and Venues:
28-29 Mar Shanghai International Circuit – China  Rd 1 & 2
02-03 May Shanghai International Circuit – China Rd 3 & 4
23-24 May Sepang F1 Circuit – Malaysia Rd 5 & 6
20-21 June Sepang F1 Circuit – Malaysia Rd 7 & 8
22-23 Aug Cheng Du Circuit – China Rd 9 & 10
19-20 Sept Shanghai International Circuit – China Rd 11&12
19-22 Nov Guia International Circuit Macau – China Rd 13  ****
( **** Macau GT Cup Invitational race non Championship Round  )
The above dates and venues are subject to final confirmation from the relevant circuits

1) Main technical and sporting rules:
As Per GT3 Asia Challenge Rules and Regulations

2) Eligible cars & entries:
Vehicles as per GT3 Asia Challenge R & R 2009, and drivers will be invited from SCCHK members, or invited by Motorsport Committee and subject to the approval of the organizing Committee. 

3) Registration and entry fee:
The Series registration and entry fee for all the 12 rounds in HKD 120,000.
( The race entry fees do not included Macau GP 2009 or F-1support races)
‧ Caution: This amount does not include logistic arrangement and transportation and storage cost for the Season.
‧ Deadline: Registration will be closed on: 30th Jan 2009 due to the requirement of customs declaration of cars and spare parts in China.
‧ Single entry: Single entry for each event is HKD25,000 (non Championship)

4) Race Numbers. :
Drivers may reserve their race numbers for the year required on their entry form, and will be re-confirmed by the race committee. Race Number 1 to 3 reserved for 2008 Champion.

5) Logistic and Circuit Storage:
An approved operator will exclusively offer logistic and customs service for all teams / entrants who are joining the series as a group. Teams may select their own arrangement and SCCHK will not responsible for any issue caused by this self-arrangement.
Transportation cost: per vehicle first season race HKD65,000
One 40”Container HKD130, 000 (Voyage: Hong Kong –Shanghai –Malaysia ).
Such price has included the customs bond both in China and Malaysia.
Container Movement Pit to Storage area in between May-June race in Sepang .
Any Spare engines may required additional customs bond fee.
Vehicles Storage in Shanghai Circuit is also arranged for all teams.
Please call Club for your required space.
One 40”Container SICC storage per month RMB1,000
Provisional shipping date: Hong Kong to Shanghai Mid Feb 2009. So all teams have more time for race preparation and circuit practice before our first race in end March

6) Official Tires Michelin:
Michelin is the exclusive tire supplier for the 2009 series for the GT3 Asia races.
All tires will be delivery as per your order service will arranged in each race circuit.
Sales of the Michelin tires will be handled exclusively by Supercar Club Hong Kong Ltd.
Price list for 2009 and order form enclosed.
First order is required to be sent before 30th Jan 2009 for March and May races in Shanghai.
Please do not delay because time is short !!
Payment should be made by bank transfer or Credit-card to Michelin after order confirmation.
No payment will be accepted on site delivery.

7) Race AMB Lap timing Transponders
From 2009 onwards, we will required all competitors to purchase their own transponders from MAL, which can be used at most of the race circuits in the future. This will be easier for the teams because the transponders are your own property, and will be connected to the car battery unit, and there is no need for removal after race. This will save both teams and MAL a considerable amount of preparation time at each circuit .Order form enclosed:

8) Procedure for entering GT3 Asia Challenge 2009 :
To confirm its registration for the GT3 Asia Challenge 2009, each driver & team must:
1. Fill in a registration form stated in the sporting regulation of the ( GT3 Asia ) 2009
The Participation payment per vehicle
2009 SCCHK race member Race Series Registration HKD 3,000.
First season entry payment 10th Feb 2009 HKD 80,000 for race entry R1-R 8.
First season shipping per vechicle HKD65,000.

Second Payment 30th June 2009 for race entry R9–R12 with shipping balance of the season.
